AU has established a new Institute of ICT in July 2012. The Institute of ICT invites applications for faculty positions at the level of Director, Professors, Associate/Assistant/Adjunct Professors, and Senior Lecturers. Academicians committed to teaching and research and excited by institution building are invited to participate in our vision to establish a leading Institute of ICT. The school aims to redefine ICT education - where high powered technological innovations will foster sustainable growth in various sectors such as healthcare, energy, telecommunications, information technology, and so on. To build a high quality research driven academic program (B Tech, M Tech and PhD), the Institute will leverage its multi-disciplinary position as one of the four schools planned under the umbrella of the School of Science and Technology, AU: Engineering, Life sciences, Physical sciences & ICT. Director

Ahmedabad University invites application for the post of director for the proposed Institute of Information Communication and Technology. 

Personal Profile

We are seeking a candidate ( age-45 to 55 yrs)  having either a strong academic or industrial background in the broad area of ICT (which encompassses: computer science, information technology, electronics and telecommunications).
Academic: The Candidate should have a minimum  10 years of teaching experience along with academic administration experience of 3-5 years from educational institutions of national and international repute. Industry: Candidates should have held high level positions (VP and above) in research based industries with strong academic tie ups.

Requirement
Academicians committed to teaching and research, and excited by institution building are invited to participate in our vision to establish a leading new Institute of ICT. Candidates, from any branch of ICT or related cross disciplinary fields such as mathematics, computer science, information technology, electronics and communication engineering, distributed computing, financial computing, software engineering, bio-informatics, social sciences and humanities may apply. For all the above positions, a PhD in a related field, and significant research record commensurate with the level of the position being applied for, are mandatory. Being a private University  we offer more attractive remuneration package as compared to other institutions in the country. Faculty will be encouraged and supported to establish research labs and get involved in institution building, innovate, teach, consult and conduct collaborative research.

Senior Lecturer
             
Requirement

We are looking for persons who find engineering education exciting, who are enthusiastic about utilizing student-centric pedagogies in teaching, and are passionate about pursuing state-of-the-art research.

Candidates must have at least an MTech/ME degree in any area of ICT (which includes: computer science, electronics, communication, information technology, and mathematics), an excellent academic record, excellent teaching abilities, and should either be pursuing a doctoral degree, or should be in the process of initiating one. Minimum 3 years of teaching experience or 5 years of industry experience is required. Compensation will match, and can exceed, Sixth Pay Commission norms.
