Vision

The proposed Institute of ICT aims to build a high-quality research-driven multidisciplinary institution for faculty and students to solve real world problems by leveraging, and innovating on, ICT solutions that have stronger societal and industrial impact. ICT education will enable aspiring students to become change agents for creating knowledge societies.

The idea is to re-define the boundaries of the term ICT, and re-design the course curriculum accordingly. And this is to be accomplished by first obtaining a thorough familiarity with the emerging trends, future directions, and current needs of the industry, in the broad discipline of ICT - which encompasses both IT enabled hardware, software & service development in areas such as health care, finance, e-governance, energy, and a host of other areas of human endeavour; and then synergizing these with the societal aspects of technological change.
