  Mr. Sanjay Lalbhai is the chairman and managing director, Arvind Limited,(formerly the Arvind Mills Ltd.) a large integrated textile mill, a company presiding over the businesses of textiles, clothing, and infrastructure development. He is presiding over the operations of all the textile and clothing actitivies of the Lalbhai Group. Mr Lalbhai is on the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is also the president of Ahmedabad Education Society (AES), presiding over a number of well known educational institutions, in Gujarat. Mr. Lalbhai is the chairman of Ahmedabad Textile Industry’s Research Association (ATIRA's) Council of Administration.

  Shri Sudhir Mehta is the Chairman of the Rs. 8200 cr Torrent Group. Born in 1954, he joined the family business soon after completing his education. It was his visionary foresight and enterprising zeal that steered the Group from its early days as a generic pharma manufacturer to its current dominant position in the Indian power and pharma sectors. As an individual, Mr. Mehta strikes a fine balance between his entrepreneurial involvement, social responsibility and philanthropic activities. A strong proponent of education, he is actively involved in various social welfare activities and takes keen interest in promoting education in the rural areas. Mr. Mehta is also closely associated with various organizations, both professional and social.

  Mr.Prafull Anubhai is and educationist and a Corporate Advisor. He is associated with educational and research institutions like Indian Institute of Management (IIMA), Ahmedabad Education Society (AES), Ahmedabad University, CSTEP ( Centre for Science Technology and Policy), ATIRA etc. He is the Chairman of the Board of Management of the Ahmedabad University. He is the member of the Governing Board of IIMA, CSTEP and Ahmedabad Education Society. He is also the Hon. Director of Saptak Archives, an institution dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of Indian Classical Music. He has done his B.Sc.(Econ.) from the London School of Economics and attended PMD at Harvard Business School. He has 30 years of experience as a Chief Executive of Textile Manufacturing Operations and presently he is a Director in companies like Unichem Laboratories Ltd., Vardhman Textiles Ltd., Birla Sun Life Trustee Co.Pvt.Ltd, GRUH Finance Ltd. (a subsidiary of HDFC Ltd), EMSAF (Emerging Markets South Asia Fund), Torrent Cables Ltd etc.

  Dr. Kalro is a recipient of several scholastic and teaching excellence awards. His research publications are in the areas of OR modeling, inventory management, organization behaviour, irrigation and water management, management of educational institutions and institution building in reputed International and Indian Journals. He extensive consulting experience with public and private sector organizations, State and Central Governments, and International Agencies. He has traveled extensively to more than thirty countries and has taught in programmes in various countries. Dr. Kalro was presented “The Life Time Achievement Award” by The Indian Society of Operations Management in December, 2006, and awards from Ahmedabad Management Association, Ahmedabad (February 2007) and School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi (April 2009) for his “Contributions to Management”

  Ms. Jayanti Ravi is an alumnus of the London School of Economics. She has graduated from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. She has worked in various capacities in the State Government as also the Central Government. She has been invited to teach as an independent faculty at World Class Institutions like Harvard University. Being an IAS Officer, she is currently posted as Commissioner Higher Education in the Government of Gujarat.

  Mr. Naishadh Parikh, an MBA, is Chairman & MD of Equinox Solutions Ltd.   He is on the Board of AES as also on the Governing Council of CEPT University and Ahmedabad Universtiy. He is a member of ATIRA Council of Administration. An ex-Chairman of CII for 1992-93 & 93-94.  Associated with CII in various capacities.

  Shri Saurabh Natwarlal Soparkar is a Senior Advocate practicing in the High Court of Gujarat and the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Ahmedabad.  Had been standing counsel for the Income Tax Dept for three years from 1986-89. Contributed   papers at various residential seminars conducted by ICAI, BCA etc.   Shri Soparkar is a Visiting  Professor at IIM Ahmedabad on the subject of “Corporate Tax Planning” and “Legal Aspects of Business”.

  Mr. Pankaj R. Patel is Chairman and Managing Director of Zydus Cadila. He is currently the President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance and the Chairman of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) Gujarat State Council. He is the Executive Chairman, Vice President and Trustee of the Gujarat Cancer Society and Chairman of the Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute.

  Dr.Mohan Kaul, was appointed the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC) on its establishment by the Commonwealth Heads of Government in Edinburgh in October 1997. He is a firm believer in making globalisation work for all and leads a number of high-level initiatives targeted at investment promotion and strengthening the investment climate, good governance and corporate social responsibility. His focus has been on building Public Private Partnerships, reducing the digital divide, WTO market access and trade facilitation and integration of developing countries into the global market.

  Dr. R.A. Mashelkar was the Director General of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), the largest chain of publicly funded industrial research and development institutions in the world, with thirty-eight laboratories and about 20,000 employees. Dr. Mashelkar is at present the President of Indian National Science Academy (INSA). He is only the third Indian engineer to have been elected as Fellow of Royal Society (FRS), London in the twentieth century. He was elected Foreign Associate of National Academy of Science (USA) in 2005, only the 8 th Indian since 1863 to be s0 elected. He was elected Foreign Fellow of US National Academy of Engineering (2003), Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering, U.K. (1996), and Fellow of World Academy of Art & Science, USA (2000). Twenty-three universities have honoured him with honorary doctorates, which include Universities of London, Salford, Pretoria, Wisconsin and Delhi. The President of India honoured Dr. Mashelkar with Padmashri (1991) and with Padmabhushan (2000), which are two of the highest civilian honours in recognition of his contribution to nation building. Dr. Mashelkar has won over 40 awards and medals, which include S.S. Bhatnagar Prize (1982), Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Technology Award (1991), G.D. Birla Scientific Research Award (1993), Material Scientist of Year Award (2000), IMC Juran Quality Medal (2002), HRD Excellence Award (2002), Lal Bhadur Shastri National Award for Excellence in Public Administration and Management Sciences (2002), World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) Medal of Engineering Excellence (2003) by WFEO, Paris, Lifetime Achievement Award (2004) by Indian Science Congress, the Science medal (2005) by TWAS, the Academy of Science for the Developing World, Asutosh Mookherjee Memorial Award (2005) by Indian Science Congress, etc.
